Pakistan has entered decade of sustained growth: Tarin

ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance and Revenue Minister Shaukat Tarin said on Saturday that Pakistan remained in the top 3 in the Economist General Index for the third time in a row.

The Finance Minister said this on his official Twitter account.

He said this is reflected in the revised Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth of 5.37 per cent in FY2011, the second best in the last 14 years. He said that moving forward with structural changes, inclusive growth and policy actions, Bloomberg also recognizes that Pakistan has entered a decade of sustained growth. The minister said the next ten years would help reduce income inequality, increase employment and improve human development.
