Oppo is preparing to introduce its next flagship series as Oppo Find X5 series. It is expected that the company will present Oppo Find X5 and Oppo Find X5 Pro variants. These devices have been the target of several leaks over the past few weeks and are now making headlines again. As per the latest leak, which once again reveals the specifications of the Pro variant, Oppo is borrowing some of the features found in the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro series, including the partnership with Hasselblad.
Oppo and OnePlus are part of the same BBK group. So, we've become used to seeing these two companies sharing technologies. For example, OnePlus used the same 65W charging found on Oppo smartphones for a long time. The main difference is that each company had its own name for the charging technology. Recently, OnePlus introduced its OnePlus 10 Pro with 80W charging, and the Oppo Find X5 series is also said to come with this charging capability. These similarities are known to followers of these two companies, and we only expect these devices to be even more similar as the companies merged last year.
Oppo Find X5 Pro with Marisilicon X NPU and Hasselblad lenses
Now, a recent leak suggests that the upcoming OPPO flagship will also be collaborating with Hasselblad to improve the quality of its cameras. If you remember, OnePlus started this partnership last year by bringing the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro with Hasselblad "licensed" cameras. The OnePlus 10 Pro reiterates this partnership, and now Oppo will benefit as well. Apart from the Hasselblad branding, the company will also introduce its MariSilicon X NPU. For those unaware, Oppo unveiled this NPU during its Inno Day event last year. It will bring AI improvements to the cameras of the Oppo Find X5 Pro.
In fact, the major differences in the Find X5 Pro are mostly brought about by the NPU and software. According to the leak, the Oppo Find X5 Pro will have the same hardware as the Oppo Find X3 Pro. It includes two 50 MP Sony IMX766 sensors. The MariSilicon NPU will handle the image processing task and the omni-directional autofocus system. The big difference is probably in the third camera. The Find X5 Pro will have a 13 MP tele lens with 5x hybrid zoom. One thing to note is that the main camera will be different as Oppo is opting for the new Sony IMX709 sensor with 32MP resolution, f/2.2 lens and 90-field view.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 5000 mAh Battery, and more
The Oppo Find X5 Pro has also improved in the battery department with a bigger 5,000mAh battery with 80W charging as mentioned earlier. The display will be a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED with Quad HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The phone mixes aluminum and glass and has an IP68 rating as well as Gorilla Glass Victus. The colorways will come as Ceramic Black and Ceramic White, but both will be made of glass.

Under the hood, we can expect the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 to pack up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The Pro model will cost around 1,200 euros. It is worth noting that there is also an Oppo Find X5 with MediaTek Dimensity 9000.
