Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke reveals biggest scare ahead of UK stage debut: Report

Emilia Clarke shares her experience doing theater for the UK stage

Emilia Clarke has admitted that she dreads her debut on the UK stage in Chekhov's The Seagull.

In a recent interview with the BBC, the Game of Thrones star revealed that many people will judge her based on her Mother of Dragons character and, therefore, she feels "afraid" of what would happen if she were on a stage. Can't act excellently as she does in her hit series.

"I'm deeply aware of the fact that there will be people who love Game of Thrones and are looking forward to it. It's 10 times more frightening because there will be people who will want to go and say, 'Okay, that's it. can only act on camera, she obviously can't act on stage,' which is obviously the biggest fear," the Me Before You actress explained.

Still, the British actress hopes her recent play, about a group of lonely Russians living on an isolated country estate, will inspire isolated audiences to head to the theatre.

She told the outlet, "Hopefully what they get extra is that they get to enjoy this drama that they might not have seen otherwise."

Clarke also shared about her concern, as it has been stressful for the actress over the years.

"It's hard to finally show up in the West End because it's something I've wanted for so long. It's horrifying because it's a dream of mine that finally came true," she commented.

Clark also spoke on theatre, which he called "high art".

“I respect it. I absolutely love it. I feel happiest, safest, most at home,” said the 35-year-old.

Meanwhile, the actress last appeared in Breakfast at Tiffany's on Broadway in 2013, which did not go down well.
