Prince Andrew continues to live 'on the hog' after Queen's exile

Prince Andrew loses his title in scandalous sexual assault case

Prince Andrew is still holding onto his 'luxury' life from the qualities of the Queen.

Daily Mirror royal editor Russell Myers says the military title rip has not affected the Duke of York as much, who continues to live a life of luxury.

Speaking on last week's episode of Pod Save the Queen, he said: "He has been visiting the Queen, and people close to him have said that he has been circling there every day.

“Some staff have joked that you can set your clock right before lunch and just before she rides – taking full advantage of the incredible facilities available to the Queen at Windsor Castle and the Windsor Estate.

Meanwhile, Andrew reportedly convinced the 96-year-old to return with Garter Day for his Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Myers said: "And it's quite interesting because not only was he dropped from the Platinum Jubilee ceremony, but he appears to be reassuring the Queen and others who are holding the garter event on 13 June that he can join.

"And he will participate in it in a private capacity as a Knight of the Order, which is very interesting, as it will be mentioned in the court circular.

"Does that make him a royal? The court circular mentions royal trade - a historical record of what happened."

He continued: "Castle was trying not to make a big deal out of it, but I think it's a big deal. I think it puts him on that stage.

"He has put himself front and center, as we saw at Prince Philip's memorial service - walking down the aisle to his mother in her seat at Westminster Abbey.

"And then, at this Garter event. Will we see him at any Platinum Jubilee celebrations? Who knows?

"There's an argument that he would certainly be at the service of Thanksgiving, because it's not only a public event, but it's also a private, family event—it's half-and-half."

Andrew was accused of sexually assaulting Virginia Giuffre, who had been smuggled into her by pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. As a result of the defamation, the Queen took away important titles from the Duke's chest.
