Queen Elizabeth is reportedly doing her best to 'clean up' the end of any loose family before the monarchy is transferred to her son, Prince Charles.
According to Mirror UK, the Queen is working hard to ensure that the transition of power from her to Prince Charles is as smooth as possible when the time comes.
The claim was made by royal biographer Andrew Morton on Mirror UK's royal podcast, Pod Save the Queen, in which he spoke at length about the 96-year-old monarch's future plans.
According to Morton: "The Queen is a very clean person and even as a little girl she used to put on her shoes properly and wake up at night and make sure everything was fine, so her There's a neat about the character."
He then explained: "And you can see that a lot is going neatly in the minutes toward the end of the regime... the biggest issue that needed to be cleared up was Camilla and how she would be referred to in the future. "
Morton continued: "The Queen has gradually bought Camilla's position higher and higher. A few years ago, she placed her on the Privy Council so that she could remain there when the succession was announced. Then she was made a member of the Order of the Garter. Made and finally she says she wants Camilla to be called Queen Consort."
He went on to share: "This ended the debate because when Prince Charles first married Camilla, the mood was musical that she would never be called Queen and they backed down very quickly, just a few short years."
The comments come just months after the Queen announced in an unprecedented statement: "When, in the fullness of time, my son Charles becomes king, I know you will give him and his wife Camilla the same support that you would give him." You have given me; and it is my heartfelt wish that, when that time comes, Camilla will be known as Queen Consort as she continues her faithful service."
