Katrina, who has shown her Punjabi inner on several occasions post marriage, never fails to pay homage to her North Indian husband's roots.
While talking to Yash Raj Mukhte in a recent interview, Shehnaaz recalled how people used to call her Katrina as a child.
"When my mother used to go to the parlor as a child, she used to tell her 'hey your daughter looks like Katrina'."
Shehnaaz publicly introduced herself as Katrina of Punjab to Salman Khan in Bigg Boss season 13.
"But now I have become the Shehnaz Gill of India and Katrina Kaif has become the Katrina Kaif of Punjab. Do you know how?" She then said, "She is married to Vicky Kaushal and where is she from?" As Yash Raj replied to Punjab, Shehnaaz said, "So she won't be Katrina of Punjab? So I am Shehnaaz Gill of India." Yash Raj replied, "Oh like that?" To which Shahnaz shook his head.
