Disruptive efforts of opposing forces will not succeed: COAS


 Rawalpindi/Multan: Paying tribute to the courage and determination of Shuhada of Sibdan Top Kech Balochistan, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that terrorists will be brought to justice and the blood of martyrs will not go. Waste.

The COAS visited Kech on Saturday and interacted with the deployed troops. General Bajwa reiterated that Balochistan is the future of Pakistan and the progress and prosperity of the province means the progress of the country. The COAS stressed that the disruptive efforts of the opposing forces would not be allowed to succeed. He said that the security, stability and prosperity of Balochistan will be continued and ensured at all costs.

Earlier, the COAS visited Turbat and spent the entire day with the soldiers. He was briefed at Headquarters FC Balochistan (South) about the current security situation in the region, fencing along the Pakistan-Iran border and measures to counter hostile attempts to destabilize the security situation in Balochistan. The COAS was also briefed about the socio-economic initiatives undertaken by the Army in support of the Government of Balochistan and efforts to enhance the capacity of the Law-Enforcement Agencies (LEAs). The COAS said that the army will do everything possible to help the provincial government achieve lasting peace and prosperity.

Earlier, the COAS was received on arrival by Corps Commander Lt Gen Sarfaraz Ali. It is noteworthy that on the night of 25 26 January, 10 soldiers who were martyred had sacrificed their lives while thwarting an attempt to capture terrorists at a check post in Kech, Balochistan.

Meanwhile, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Multan Garrison on Saturday. Officials said he participated in the ongoing season of the Southern Command's war games. He appreciated the professional prowess of the participants and emphasized the importance of mental and physical preparation to win the challenges of future wars.

Earlier, the COAS was received by Commander Southern Command Lt Gen Chirag Haider on arrival.
