Punjab Police recommends ban on PUBG after game addict shot dead four family members

 


Lahore: Four members of his family were shot dead by a boy in the city's Kehna area, following which the Punjab Police has decided to recommend a ban on the mobile game PUBG. A spokesperson gave this information on Friday.

The official said that according to preliminary investigation, 18-year-old Ali Zain was addicted to the PUBG game and opened fire on his mother, sisters and brother thinking that everyone would be resurrected like a game.

The spokesman said that after the gruesome murder, the accused slept in the lower part of the house and later hid in a village near Faisalabad.

The official said that after going through the details of the incident, the Punjab Police has decided to recommend to the federal and provincial government a ban on this "dangerous game".

"Sports must be banned to stop violent acts."
