Virginia Giuffre, who has accused Prince Andrew of raping her when she was young, has issued a statement after Prince Andrew sought a jury trial in a sexual assault case.
Prince Andrew's request came in a formal "answer" to a civil lawsuit filed in New York today, in which the Duke denied all allegations of wrongdoing.
"Prince Andrew's response continues his approach by denying any knowledge of the information relating to the claims against him, and blaming the victim of the abuse for bringing it upon himself in any way," the statement said. We look forward to confronting Prince Andrew with his denials and attempts to incriminate Ms. Giuffre for her statement and the abuse herself at trial."
