Amitabh Bachchan pays special respect to legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, who passed away on Sunday
Amitabh Bachchan paid special respect to Indian Nightingale Lata Mangeshkar, who passed away in the early hours of Sunday after a long battle with COVID-19.
In pictures obtained by Indian publication Pinkvilla, Bachchan arrived with his daughter Shweta Bachchan-Nanda in a white outfit. On this occasion both were wearing masks in compliance with the COVID SOP.
Bachchan turned to his personal blog to pen a heartfelt note on Mangeshkar's tragic demise, writing, "She has left us... The voice of a million centuries has left us... Her voice now resonates in heaven. Is! Praying for peace and peace."
Mangeshkar died on Sunday due to multiple organ failure at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital.
She was admitted to the hospital on 8th January and since then she was recovering there under the supervision of Dr. Pratit Samdani.
According to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, the singer known as the Nightingale of India will be honored with a state honour.
