Nina Dobrev says I get roles in hit series and not my ex
Nina Dobrev recently admitted that she broke up with her ex-boyfriend because of her role in The Vampire Diaries.
According to US Weekly, the Perks of Being a Wallflower star revealed that she was cast for the role and that her then-boyfriend did not, which later led to "major relationship drama" for her at the time.
"They were supposed to cast him for the role of Damon Salvatore," the 33-year-old said on Wednesday's episode of the XOXO podcast.
"They didn't pick him, but I was cast. And then it got weird," she remarked.
The Flatliners actress revealed that long before, she landed a role in the hit series, the two of them called off their relationship.
"We broke up," announced the star.
Of note, Nina is currently in a relationship with professional snowboarder Shaun White and last month, she made a stylish appearance at the 28th Annual AmfAR Gala during the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.
