WWE Hall of Famer Booker T believes Riddle is "highly overrated" as a future world champion at the company.
Since moving from NXT to RAW in 2020, the former WWE NXT Superstar has had a successful run on the main roster. Last year he won the US Championship at the Elimination Chamber Show and this year he retained it. Later, he formed RK-Bro with Randy Orton and both won the Raw Tag Team Championship.
Booker T and host Brad Gilmore talk about reports that Riddle was supposed to win the men's Royal Rumble match on their Hall of Fame podcast. These rumors did not surprise the two-time Hall of Famer, who believes the Raw Superstar has a promising future.
"I'm not sure that's true (Riddle had to win the Royal Rumble in the past)." Riddle is highly respected, and I must say he is regarded as a future WWE World Champion. On Saturday, Riddle made it to the last five of the men's Royal Rumble match, but lost to winner Brock Lesnar.
What could be Riddle's future in WWE?
According to recent reports, Riddle will be forced to go solo for some time as his tag teammate Randy Orton may be unavailable.
At this month's Elimination Chamber show in Saudi Arabia, the former NXT Superstar will have a chance to win his first World Title with the company. Riddle is one of six men who will compete for the WWE Championship in an Elimination Chamber match.
Other Superstar Champions in the ring with Riddle on February 19 are Bobby Lashley, Brock Lesnar, AJ Styles, Austin Theory and Seth Rollins.
