According to Herzog, bilateral trade is above US$1 billion, more than 120 agreements have been signed, and a $100 million bilateral R&D fund was recently established.
Stating that 250,000 Israelis have already visited the UAE, the Israeli President expressed hope that more people from the UAE will visit Israel after the COVID-19 pandemic. Following the speech, the Israeli flag was hoisted and the Israeli national anthem was played, the presidential office said in a statement.
