Lata Mangeshkar also had pneumonia
Legendary Indian singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away at the age of 92, Indian media reported.
The Hey Rey R singer was undergoing treatment in the ICU for the past few weeks after she tested positive for coronavirus on January 8.
He also had pneumonia.
According to the doctor treating the singing legend, Lata Mangeshkar died due to multi-organ failure.
Lata Mangeshkar was born in 1929. He ventured into singing at the age of 13 and recorded his first song in 1942.
In his career spanning seven decades, he is credited with over 30,000 songs in various languages.
The government has announced two days of mourning in the memory of Lata Mangeshkar.
