Queen Elizabeth shares polarizing announcement highlighting her intentions for Camilla's future royal role
Queen Elizabeth highlighted her sincere desire for Camilla, the wife of Prince Charles, on the day he will assume the British throne in her place.
The announcement was made by Queen Elizabeth herself and as part of her message to the nation on Accession Day.
The message reflected Queen Elizabeth's 70-year reign and read, "I want to express my thanks to all of you for your support."
She also added, "I am forever grateful and humbled for the loyalty and affection you continue to give me."
"And when, in the fullness of time, my son Charles becomes king, I know that you will give him and his wife Camilla the same support you have given me; and it is my heartfelt wish that, when that time comes , then Camilla will be known as Queen Consort as she continues her faithful service."
