Leigh-Anne Pinnock, who recently struck a big deal with Warner, has reportedly been working on her solo career for a long time.
According to The Sun, months before Little Mix announced she would be taking a break, the 30-year-old singer has been 'eager' to take on personal projects.
Citing its source, the outlet revealed that Pinnock has been "ready to branch out on its own for some time."
It added, "Many labels wanted Leigh-Anne to win, but Warner seemed the fittest."
The insider revealed, "She clearly loves Little Mix, and always will, but she's ready to branch out on her own for some time."
The group's members – Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall – announced on social media last year to 'take a break' from the band's activities.
"We want to let you all know that we are going to take a break from Little Mix after the Confetti tour in April/May next year," expressed.
"It's been 10 wonderful years, an amazing non-stop adventure, and we think the time is right to take a break so we can recharge and work on some other projects."
