This Romantic Comedy Looks Out of This World
Forget theaters: You can only watch Moonshot online and at home. Yep, in a move that feels like 2021 at its best, the new movie starring Cole Sprouse (Riverdale) and Lana Condor (to All the Boys movies) is available exclusively at home, so you don't need to freak out.
Moonshot looks like a very promising science-fiction romantic comedy, and its premise also doesn't seem too far-fetched. Sprouse plays Walt, a chill barista who meets Sophie (Condor) who is troubled by a really long-distance relationship with her lover who lives on Mars. They almost have the spark, but Walt worries that she's making a big mistake by following the wrong man to the Red Planet.
So, Walt does what anyone would do: He boards the Shuttle to Mars. Then both have to lie about why he is on the shuttle, because he was not on the manifest.
Walt and Sophie really have fun on board as they do their best not to get caught, and fellow passenger Leon Covey (Zach Braff) offers advice to help Walt break out of the romance.
