Lady Gaga Can't Hold Her Emotions During Halle Berry's Motivational Speech at the Critics' Choice Awards
Lady Gaga breaks down during Halle Berry's heartfelt speech at the 27th Annual Critics' Choice Awards.
As People reports, the House of Gucci star, 35, was seen crying out her heart as 55-year-old Berry delivered a motivational message while receiving the Sehr Award on Sunday, urging more women to tell women's stories.
The moment was captured when Hair Love star Issa Rae paid respects to Berry, who began her speech by explaining that her role in Netflix's Bruised wasn't originally written to "look like me." Nevertheless, he injured himself to land the role and take up the project as a director.
"[Storytelling] can heighten our consciousness and help us think outside of ourselves and our personal circumstances," Berry said upon receiving the honor.
"I realized that we really need to see each other's reality — no matter how uncomfortable it makes us — so that we can stop judging and point fingers, rather than others." find compassion and sympathy for
"I've been in the business for 30 years, and I used to think that if I could play a white man, I was winning. But you know, wanna know why it didn't work out? Because, if you Don't know, so I'm not a white man," said Berry, laughing.
"So, for those roles to work, they have to change drastically. It has to be written with the reality of my journey, the beauty of it and all the pain of it."

Continued Berry, "That's why I'm so grateful to stand up and be in this moment where women are standing and we're telling our stories."

Gaga's emotions during Berry's speech is the latest heartwarming moment of awards season. Last month, she wept as she hugged the legendary English actress Helen Mirren, 76, at the 28th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.
