Maren Morris singing the praises of their marriage. The "Circle Around This Town" singer spoke to ET's Rachel Smith on the 2022 CMT Music Awards red carpet Monday night, where she said she feels like she's hit the jackpot in her relationship with husband Ryan Hurd.
Morris explained of himself and Heard, "We've had years where it's been tough, and we're still trying to find it - I think now we're trying to find a balance between home time and work time." I'm better." Year old son Hess. "We're better able to stand our ground on our personal lives than we were before, because I think we've earned it now, but no, we have struggles, but I think we love each other." I will always support his dream, his song writer Sapna and vice versa."
She continued, "And so I know we can make it through anything, because it's a tough industry to stay married and even find love, I feel like - We hit the jack pot so that everything else is like, clear skies."
Not only is Morris nominated, but she's also performing with Heard on Monday night's show.
"We're performing our new song from our new record, it's called 'Can't Love You Anymore,' and it's just a real love song, but it's funny and I'm so excited. It's my first time performing live."
The song, Morris says, tells the story of their relationship, or as she put it, their "weird ass love story."
"It's easy. We've been together for so long, we have a son who is now two, we definitely have our moments that aren't rainbows and sunshine, but we laugh through it because we know That we're gonna be in this until the end, and we better get through it together," Morris said of their relationship.
"And the song is exactly that," she said. "It's telling our weird ass love story."
Shortly after the show, Morris is on the road for her upcoming tour. As for what fans can expect, Morris said it's going to be "outside" and "vibe."
"Well, most of its venues are amphitheaters, so it will be outside," shared Morris. "We tried to keep it out and alive, 'cause the record is too high,"
"It felt very nature-based cause we wrote the album in Hawaii, so, doing these outdoor locations felt right. It's going to be a lot of fun," she continued. "A lot of new albums will be shown, but we'll put some old ones and fan favorites in there and maybe a cover or something."
The 2022 CMT Music Awards will air live on Monday, April 11 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBS, and will also stream live on Paramount+. Check out the full list of the night's big winners here!
