As Mirror Online reports, Meghan Markle's confidence and public speaking skills did not go down well with Kate Middleton when Meghan first joined the royal family.
Meghan's first royal event came during an expansion of the mental health hotline Shout, Prince William, Prince Harry and Kate's mental health organization Heads Together.
According to royal writer Tina Brown, Meghan's confidence in the incident left a sour taste in the mouths of William and Kate, who were reportedly amazed by her strong public speaking skills.
Brown claimed in his book The Palace Papers: Inside the House of Windsor: "Harry looked on with astonishment and his brother and Kate stood with expressionless irritation.
Brown also pointed out that "when Kate had her speaking moment, she was surprisingly less outspoken, as well as brief."
At one point in his book, Brown also said that he has been told by royal insiders that both Harry and Meghan "share a mutual addiction to drama".
