British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he is "very looking forward" to meeting Prince Charles in Rwanda.
Asked about Charles reportedly calling the new asylum policy "horrendous", the prime minister said "there is no evidence" the prince remarked.
He said the plan was "sensible and measured".
The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall said they met with Rwanda's President Paul Kagame and First Lady Janet Kagame and their remarks came hours after thanking them for the warm welcome to Rwanda on their official visit.
