Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's popularity in Britain seems to have taken a big hit


Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's popularity in the UK has taken a big hit, as they are set to return for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations, reports Mirror UK.

As the Duke and Duchess of Sussex prepare for their first royal engagement with the service of Thanksgiving for the Queen's reign on Friday, June 3, a new YouGov pollrevealed that their popularity has plummeted.

Around 63% of 1,692 Britons surveyed during May viewed Meghan negatively, while almost 58% disliked Prince Harry.

Meanwhile, only 23% of respondents gave a positive rating to Meghan, while 32% liked Prince Harry.

According to YouGov, this puts Meghan's net approval at -42, three points lower than -39 in the previous poll. As for Prince Harry, his total clearance was around -26.

The polling platform said in a press release: "In a round of the latest figures, Harry and Meghan's popularity has plummeted again, taking scores for both royal families to new levels."

In contrast, the Queen scored a net +69, while almost 72% said Prince William would make a good role model.
