Ricky Martin's former manager claims the singer has to pay enough commission for her
Ricky Martin has recently been sued by his former manager Rebecca Drucker for over $3 million over "unpaid commissions".
According to Variety magazine, Nobody Wants to Be a Lonely Hit-Maker was managed by Drucker for two "separate periods".
The reason, according to the ex-manager, was "because his personal and professional life was in complete turmoil".
Reportedly, Drucker filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles Central District Court.
In the complaint, she claimed that she "guided Martin through recording contracts, touring and sponsorship deals, and other professional endeavors".
The complaint also mentions the Puerto Rican singer's North American tour with Enrique Iglesias.
"With Rebecca, Martin made millions of dollars and therefore owes Rebecca a substantial commission," the 15-page complaint said, according to the outlet.
Drucker also cited an incident that apparently took place at the trial in September 2020.
She alleged, "Martin was threatened with a "potentially career-ending charge."
Nevertheless, the former manager argued that it was "due to my guidance, Kroner was able to emerge immaculate and move forward with his professional revival".
The complaint states that Martin "regularly manipulated and lied to Drucker, which ultimately led to his resignation in April of this year".
Drucker alleged that the singer-songwriter "threatened her to shut up with a non-disclosure agreement," but reports suggested she declined the offer.
The outlet reported that the former manager has sought trial by jury "on all issues".
No comment has been made by the singer in this regard yet.
