Inside Prince Charles' first meeting with 'very emotional' granddaughter Lillibet

Prince Charles' first meeting with his granddaughter Lillibet is making headlines

Prince Charles' first meeting with his granddaughter Lillibet is making headlines as the Prince of Wales reportedly got 'very emotional' during the special occasion.

A royal source spoke about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's UK visit earlier this month for the Queen's platinum jubilee and their union with Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.

At the Clarence House Annual Review briefing, the senior royal source said: "It was wonderful to see him. It was wonderful to have him back in the UK."

"The prince, of course, hasn't seen his grandson Archie in a while and so spending some time with him was very, very, very special," the source continued.

"He hadn't met his granddaughter Lily, and so meeting her was a very emotional, very wonderful thing," the source said.

Meanwhile, Page Six reported earlier this month that Harry and Meghan did not spend any personal time with Prince William, Kate, George, Charlotte and Louis during their recent visit to Britain.

The outlet also hinted at the minimal possibility of Lilibet meeting with William's family.
