Kevin Spacey pleaded not guilty to sexual assault charges by UK court
Kevin Spacey has reportedly been dropped from an upcoming film about Genghis Khan following sexual harassment allegations against him.
As Variety reports, the American beauty star was set to play in a landmark film, 1242: Gateway to the West.
According to the synopsis, the film's plot revolves around a holy man from a Hungarian palace who tries to stop an army of Genghis Khan from invading Europe. Seemingly, the 62-year-old was set to play the holy man.
The film's producer Bill Chamberlain has now replaced Spacey with another actor after the House of Cards actor was accused of five counts of sexual assault in the UK, the outlet reported.
"Talks are currently underway with a new lead, who will be revealed in due course," Chamberlain said.
The news comes days after Spacey appeared in a London court on Thursday, where he was found "not guilty of five sexual assault charges that date back 17 years".
As for the unversed, the actor denied the allegations and personally attended a UK court.
