Prince Edward, Sophie Wessex and Princess Anne host guests at the party with Prince Charles
Prince Charles hosted guests along with Prince Edward, Sophie Wessex and Princess Anne as the Queen missed the Holyroodhouse garden party despite being present at the palace.
According to the details, the royal family, which is visiting Scotland during the annual Holyrood Week, hosted a garden party at the Palace of Holyroodhouse - a tribute to the good work the Scots have done in the community.
However, the party attendees were greeted by the Countess of Wessex in place of the Queen.
She looked adorable in a dusty pink outfit teamed with white stilettos and silver jewellery.
The Princess Royal, on the other hand, flaunted a jewel colored teal frock which she paired with a light blue jacket. He also wore a white cap to greet the guests.
Meanwhile, the monarch met with Scottish First Ministers Nicola Sturgeon and Alison Johnstone earlier in the day.
Ms Sturgeon reportedly prepared a special gift for the Queen - a limited edition bottle of whiskey.
During the meeting which took place just a day after the second Scottish independence referendum was proposed on 19 October 2023.
