King Charles shocked his supporters with days of coronation.


Buckingham Palace announced the date of Prince Charles' coronation on Tuesday. 

According to the press release, the coronation of King Charles III will take place on 6 May next year. 

Charles, 73, will be officially crowned at Westminster Abbey in London, following a long tradition that dates back more than 900 years. 

The king's wife, Queen Camilla, 75, will also be crowned, the palace has confirmed. 

May 6 is the fourth birthday of his nephew Charles` Archie, son of Prince Harry and his wife Meghan. 

Immediately after the coronation date was announced, royal fans and social media users began to discuss why the Royal Family decided to choose May 6. extending an olive branch for his son and daughter-in-law when he began his reign. 

Prince Charles' decision to hold the coronation was not well received by hundreds of the supporters of the monarchy.
