Ananya Panday recently opened up about her 'cathartic' role in the much awaited film Gehriyan.
During her conversation with Mid Day, the Pati Patni Aur Woh actress shared that she went ahead with people's decision to play an emotionally traumatized role.
“I am only 23. So, it is not fair to say that I have been through something like this. This is probably one of the most emotionally different characters I have played,” she expressed.
The Student of the Year 2 star told the outlet that she "pulled a lot out of herself" from the project.
"I had to tap into my feelings, and explore them deeply. Once you cross that barrier where you have to wonder what people are thinking, and find your weakest side, that's only The best in you comes out,” she said.
Talking about the project, Pandey said, “We all had opted to watch this relationship instead of judging it. Just because the film has a concept of infidelity, doesn't mean we are supporting or glorifying it."
The film, which also stars Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi in pivotal roles, is slated to release on February 11.
