The Government of Pakistan announced on Monday that there would be no change in the prices of petroleum products till February 15, 2021.
The news was confirmed by Shahbaz Gill, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communications, who took to Twitter and wrote: "The Prime Minister did not approve the summary of hike in petrol price by Rs 11 and diesel by Rs 14."
وزیراعظم نے پٹرول 11 روپے ڈیزل 14 روپے بڑھانے کی سمری کو منظور نہیں کیا۔ وزیراعظم نے کہا کہ پوری دنیا میں بڑھتی مہنگائی کی وجہ سے تیل کی قیمتیں بڑھ رہی ہیں لیکن پاکستانی عوام کو اس مہنگائی سے بچانے کے لئے حکومت ہر ممکن کوشش کرے گی۔ اس لئے وزیراعظم نے اس سمری کو ڈیفر کردیا۔

Last week, sources said the price of petroleum products is expected to rise by Rs 10 next month in line with rising rates in the international market.
