Popular singer Cher has paid a touching tribute to television icon Betty White on NBC's upcoming special.
The 75-year-old The Believe crooner honored the legendary TV star by singing a new cover of Thank You for Being a Friend, the theme song to White's hit sitcom The Golden Girls.
On Friday, the After All singer took to her social media accounts and dropped a snippet of herself singing a new cover of the 1980s sitcom's iconic theme song for the upcoming special Celebrating Betty White: America's Golden Girl.

Sharing the clip on Instagram, Cher wrote in the caption, "Every friend is golden."
The upcoming special will air on NBC on Monday, January 31 and will be available on Peacock the next day. The star-studded affair will include tributes to President Joe Biden, Drew Barrymore, Valerie Bertinelli, Bryan Cranston, Ted Danson, Ellen DeGeneres, Jimmy Fallon, Tina Fey, Anna Gastaire, Goldie Hawn, Vicki Lawrence, Jane Leeves, Jay Leno, Anthony . Mackie, Wendy Malik, Joel McHale, Tracy Morgan, Jean Smart, Mary Steenburgen and more.
"Co-stars, friends, fans and those who share special moments with White share their favorite memories and uncover untold stories," NBC said in a news release.
"The telecast will include clips and never-before-seen footage that best capture White's irreverent tone, emotion and impeccable comedic timing that are hallmarks of his decades-long career."
White died in his sleep on December 31 in Los Angeles at the age of 99. She was just weeks away from celebrating her 100th birthday on January 17.
