Duke of Cambridge Prince William, second in line of succession to the British throne, had another career in mind involving his late mother, Princess Diana.
According to two royal experts, the future king once expressed his desire to become a policeman.
The Express UK quoted William Princess, a book by royal author Robert Jobson published in 2006, as saying that the future king once told his mother, Princess Diana, that he wanted to be a policeman so she could protect him.
The author said Diana was 'very much leaning' on Prince William in his time of need - at a time when William was still a little boy.
"Whenever Diana felt uncertain, William was there for her," royal writer Robert Jobson continued.
The report quoted Diana's autobiographer Andrew Morton as saying that on one occasion Prince William and Harry were discussing their future with Diana and the Duke of Cambridge said: "When I grow up I want to be a policeman. I want to take care of you."
