Sialkot man sentenced for trying to justify Priyanka lynching


 SIALKOT: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Friday convicted a Sialkot national, identified as Muhammad Adnan, for supporting and bringing justice to the brutal murder of Sri Lankan national Diyavadange don Nandashree Priyanta in a YouTube video soon after the incident. Did.

The foreign worker, popularly known as Priyanta Kumara, was brutally lynched in Sialkot late last year on false charges of blasphemy. According to the details of the case, two days after the brutal murder of Priyanta Kumara, the police had filed a report against Adnan on the complaint of Sub Inspector Mubarak Ali.

The First Information Report (FIR) states that Adnan had uploaded a video on YouTube in which he supported the action of those involved in the lynching of a Sri Lankan national. Police later arrested Adnan and produced him at ATC Gujranwala.

During the hearing of the case, the accused had accepted the charges against him, on which the court sentenced him to one year imprisonment and a fine of 10 thousand rupees.
