Sixth Scream movie is coming

Ghostface isn't going anywhere. According to Deadline, the sixth installment of the cult horror franchise Scream is in the works. Following the box office success of "Scream," directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillette are back for the sixth installment. The screenplay is co-written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busik, and the film will be produced by Vanderbilt, Paul Nienstein and William Sherak, with executive producers Chad Villela, Gary Barber, Peter Ouiltaguerre and Scream producer Kevin Williamson.

“Working with such an amazing and talented family of producers – and built especially in the lineage of Wes [Craven] and Kevin [Williamson] – has been the thrill of a lifetime, and we are so excited to bring the next chapter to life. For the Scream saga," Bettinelli-Olpin, Gillette and Villela said in a statement to Deadline.

"Is this real life?" Vanderbilt and Busik were added. We have more than expected to be able to collaborate with our friends on the next installment of Scream Story. We're excited to be able to continue playing in Kevin and Wes' sandbox. It's an honor to use the phrase Ghostface."

The director of Radio Silence remained silent about the plot, cast or timeline of the sixth Scream film. Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, and others reprise their roles in the new Scream movie. Melissa Barrera, Mason Gooding, Jasmine Savoy, Jack Quaid and Jenna Ortega were among the new teens to star in the film Ghostface's Terror.
