The Indianapolis Colts are the most well-represented team, with seven selections in the Pro Bowl in 2022. Despite Frank Reich's team finishing 9–8, more players qualified for the tournament than any other team.

Jonathan Taylor is the favorite to start running back for the AFC. In terms of fast effort, yards, and touchdowns, the Wisconsin product led the NFL. Without the big guys up front, Taylor wouldn't have had the same success. Kwenton Nelson (guard) and Ryan Kelly (center) were both named to the Pro Bowl on the offensive line.

On the defensive side of the ball, there will be three players representing Indianapolis. Defensive tackle DeForest Buckner, linebacker Darius Leonard, and cornerback Kenny Moore II are all expected to travel to Vegas. The group is completed by long snapper Luke Rhodes.

According to the team's website, the Colts named six players as alternates:

At least one player from each NFL team was named to the Pro Bowl this season. When the AFC meets the NFC at Allegiant Stadium, however, no one will represent the five teams.

No players were selected from the Denver Broncos, New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Jets, or Houston Texans. There appears to be a link between these teams' poor season performances and their Pro Bowl performances.

With a 3–14 record, the Jaguars finished last in the league. With a 4–13 record, the Jets, Giants and Texans finished the season.

The Broncos ended 7-10. Although no players from Denver were named on the official roster, six players were named as alternates. Justin Simmons, Patrick Sureten II and Garrett Bowles were the three first-round substitutes.

There were no players named on the official NFC roster for the Detroit Lions (3–13–1). Offensive guard Jonah Jackson will replace Washington's Brandon Sheriff in Las Vegas.

Teams without a Pro Bowl representative will have to wait another year in 2022. Meanwhile, at least one player from each of the other 25 teams is competing.

After the Colts, the Chiefs and Chargers finished second with six selections. Patrick Mahomes, Tyrek Hill and Travis Kells are among Kansas City's Pro Bowl players. LA is led by Justin Herbert, Keenan Allen, and Darwin James at quarterback and wide receiver, respectively. According to Pro Football Talk, Joy Bosa will not play in the game.

Five Pro Bowl selections went to the Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Four players each from the Arizona Cardinals, New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams were named to the Pro Bowl. Since they are in the Super Bowl, none of the LA players will play.
