Lizzo launches 'no-shame' shapewear line called Yeti

Lizzo wants you to celebrate your curves.

Less than a week after teasing a "bigger than anything [she] has ever done" project on Instagram, the "Good as Hell" singer has announced the launch of Yeti, a "no-shame , is their new line of smile-inducing shapewear. All Body Types" Backed by Kate Hudson's Fablex.

On April 12, fans can shop the first three Yitty collections: a line of nearly nude, lightweight seamless sizing clothing; Mesh Me, a selection of smoothing mesh styles; and Major Label, which includes different loungewear, like leggings and sweatshirts, according to a press release.

True to Lizzo's MO, the all-inclusive size range extends from the XS to the 6X.

"Instead of thinking about size in this linear way, we're thinking about it on a spectrum where everyone is included. Everyone's size is just their size. It's not high, it's not low." It's not big, it's not small. It's just your size," the "Truth Hurts" hitmaker said in the release.

Growing up, she continued, "I felt constantly told through TV and magazines that my body was not good enough. And, I had to fit a perfect form of beauty in order to be considered 'acceptable. It took some kind of pain to happen. Because of that, I've been wearing shapewear for a long time, probably since I was in fifth or sixth grade.”

But, Lizzo continued, she found herself constantly faced with "sad, restrictive" styles "that virtually no one wanted to wear."

"I had an epiphany of, 'Who can really do anything about this?' I decided to take on the challenge of allowing women to feel good about themselves again," she concluded.

Named after Lizzo's childhood nickname, Yeti will put the Grammy winner in direct competition with Kim Kardashian, whose Skims shapewear empire was recently valued at $3.2 billion.

But unlike the reality superstar, who said she often wears multiple pairs of shapewear to perfect her physique, Lizzo isn't about "reshaping" her body to costumers, and says her product "makes you that bitch." should feel like when you're [it] putting it on."
