She is a big fan of Sunday Riley.
Lizzo isn't shy, it's a fact. Whether it's about her body, her political views, or even tearing nipple covers (yes, really), she's shared it on social. Which is why it's little surprise that until a recent interview with The New York Times, she hadn't shared much about her beauty routine.
You'd never guess just by looking at her, but it turns out that the 32-year-old singer actually went through "skin rehab," as she described it in the NYT because her skin scorched after not washing off her makeup before bed. Was on many times. That interview was in the fall of 2019 and judging by her most recent images from the Grammys, she seems to have solved all of her skin problems.
Here's exactly what's included in her strict skincare regimen now, including the products she uses at home as well as the ones her makeup artist swears by to get her glow on before a big red carpet moment. It's probably safe to assume she's not going to bed with her makeup on anymore.
She wakes her skin from the spring water.
But nothing fancy - just good old H2O. "Water is really important for face and hair. I go to the bathroom and believe it or not, hit myself with some avian spray on the face," she told the NYT.
She dermaplans her face before the red carpet.
Lizzo's makeup artist Alex Mayo shared that she used Dermaflash Luxe on the singer ahead of the 2021 Grammys. In a post on her Instagram she shared that "it's the best way to get rid of any dead skin cells and has peach fuzz for the easiest foundation application."
She believes in Sunday Riley Skincare.
Lizzo shared with the NYT that she went to Mayo with her skin dilemma, saying "I really have to get serious about taking care of my skin," and she recommends the Sunday Riley skincare line. Which products in particular? All of them! "I have a full Sunday relay system now. I don't mix systems," she told the NYT. "I'll mix if I feel like it, but if it works for me, I don't mess with it."
But, she uses Charlotte Tilbury for red carpet prep.
For the 2021 Grammys, Mayo shared that she used Charlotte Tilbury skincare products to prep the singer's skin. The lineup included Instant Magic Facial Dry Sheet Mask, Charlotte's Magic Serum Crystal Elixir, Magic Eye Rescue Cream, Magic Cream Moisturizer and Charlotte's Magic Lip Oil Crystal Elixir.
She uses face oil instead of highlighter.
She used to use a highlighter on her days off, but now she says she doesn't need it because "I've been using Glow Oil, and I think it works better," she told the NYT. Told.
