Courteney Cox opens up on career lows and faces online criticism after joining social media


Courteney Cox, best known for playing the iconic role of Monica Geller on the hit sitcom Friends, spoke in a recent interview about the low levels of her career and facing online trolls.

In a conversation with InStyle Magazine, the Scream actor discussed how he felt when his show Charity Chase got a pilot in 2016, but never made it into the series.

"It was a low detriment to my ego," the 57-year-old star told the outlet.

"Especially the kind of character I haven't played before," he said.

The actor then spoke about facing unwanted criticism from social media trolls after joining Instagram.

She said, "For a while I thought, 'Oh, great! People are so nice to me, and it feels great!' I had no idea that if you kept scrolling, eventually you really meant ( comments) are reached.

"Like, 'Why are you making this stupid video anyway?' and, 'Is that also Kourtney?' They were so rude," concluded Courtney.

On the work front, the actor plays Patricia "Pat" Phelps in the horror comedy series Shining Vale.
