A close friend of Wanted singer Tom Parker has revealed the reasons the late singer wanted to listen to Oasis' track during his final moments.

Parker, who was battling stage four glioblastoma since October 2020, reportedly breathed his last in the presence of his loved ones.

Parker's family members and bandmates Nathan Sykes, Jay McGuinness, Max George and Siva Kaneswaran were with him before he passed away on Wednesday, March 30, according to details revealed about the late singer's last moments.

A close friend of Parker revealed that the singer, who died at 33, listened to Live Forever during his final moments.

As The Sun reports, "You would have thought Tom would pick something by The Wanted but Oasis's Live Forever sums it up perfectly – he was a rockstar and that's how he wants to be remembered."

"It's a real anthem for strength and defiance and few of the songs speak to their struggle," the outlet reported. "As the track says, Tom will truly live on in his children, his fans, and his music forever."
