Kate Middleton and Prince William warn of fury on social media

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge urged to be 'careful' on social media as some things are 'off-limits'

The much-loved couple of the royal family, Prince William and Kate Middleton, have been sent warnings on a major "off-limits" area on their social media.

Nick Ade, a pop culture expert, told Express.co.uk that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are increasingly using Instagram to "control" their own "narrative".

The expert urged the royal couple to be "very careful" as there are many things that will be "off-limits" - including politics, personal opinion and sponsored posts.

He continued: "I think things like politics are obviously there, and any kind of personal opinion would be off-limits. I think anything that's seen as an endorsement - they should be very careful." If it's something like the Olympic Games or things that have been sponsored. They can't be seen promoting something sponsored."

It comes in the wake of Kate and William's challenging tour of the Caribbean, where they have faced growing calls to replace the Queen as head of state.

Ed said social media is "a strong strategic way to communicate", which will come in handy as the couple "get closer to becoming king and queen". It will help William and Kate "remain relevant", especially as the royal family grows younger and questions are being raised about the future of the monarchy.
