Piers Morgan sends condolences to Cristiano Ronaldo and family
Piers Morgan is deeply shocked and saddened by the death of Cristiano Ronaldo's newborn son.
Taking to his Twitter on Monday, the former Good Morning Britain host offered his condolences for the Manchester United footballer, who lost his twin baby during birth.
Pierce wrote: "Heartbreaking news. My deepest condolences to you and your entire family."
Cristiano and longtime partner Georgina Rodriguez announced the sad news on their Instagram handle the same day: "It is with our deep sadness that we have to announce that our child has passed. Pain is what any parent can feel.
"Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support.
“We are all devastated by this loss and we kindly ask for privacy during this difficult time.
"Our children, you are our angel. We will love you forever."
Ronaldo's sister, Caita Aveiro, posted an emotional note where she consoled the couple, saying that the newborn son will now be with his father Denise.
She wrote: "I love you and my heart is there with you. May God take care of you and strengthen your path more and more. Our angel is already in father's arms.
"And our little girl out there is determined and strong and full of health and is going to show us every day that only love matters."
