Meghan Markle's 'subtle attack' on the Royal Family during Invictus Games speech

Meghan Markle appeared to take a sly peek at the British royal family during her Invictus Games speech

As reported by The Daily Star, Meghan Markle was seen cracking down on the British royal family during her opening speech at the Invictus Games.

According to the publication, royal anger was 'at risk' after Meghan mentioned Queen Elizabeth's reaction to Megxit in her Invictus speech.

The Duchess of Sussex, dressed in a white jacket and blue jeans, told spectators attending the Invictus Games: "It's service."

It seemed like a direct joke at the Queen's official response to Prince Harry and Meghan announcing their return as members of the Royal Family.

The Queen said at the time that she would not "continue to carry out the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service."

Meghan continued in her speech: "It's service, it's dedication and it's the Inuvictus family."

The former Suits actress' choice of words was considered 'interesting' by royal commentator Ingrid Seward, who also called it "prickly instincts".
