In his Easter message, Prince Charles says: "This year I have the great privilege of representing Her Majesty the Queen at Maundy's service on Thursday, when Christians remember that humility and sacrifice are at the heart of our faith.
“Today, millions of people find themselves displaced, weary of their travels from troubled places, wounded by the past, fearful of the future – and in need of welcome, comfort and kindness.
“Over the years, I have found myself bewildered at the sufferings of innocent victims of conflict, or persecution, some of whom I have met and who have told me stories of irreparable tragedy as they were forced to flee their country and seek Shelter away from home.
“But amidst all this misery and dehumanization, it has been so exciting to see how many people are ready to open their homes to those in need, and how they have given their time and their resources to those facing such soul-destructing misery. given to help. and difficulty.
"This Easter, as always, we are reminded of our Lord's timeless example, in which it is good in the face of sorrow, courage in the face of fear, faith in the face of despair. His light triumphs in that dark time. Hui. I pray with all my heart that his inspiring example can help all of us overcome the darkness of the world..."
