Ash Windham resigned as trustee of the Prince's Foundation last month
Ashe Windham, one of the British royal family's most loyal aides, has stepped down as director of the successor to the Prince Charles Charitable Trust.
This was revealed by royal expert Richard Eden in his latest article for Mail Plus on Saturday.
He resigned as a trustee of the Prince's Foundation last month, Eden confirmed.
Windham, 64, has also served as a equestrian, first to the Queen Mother and later to Prince Charles.
He had been president of The Castle of May, the Queen Mother's home in Caithness, for 22 years and for the past three years as director of the charitable empire of royal aide Prince Charles.
"Ash Windham has stepped down as trustee because his term ended in March, which was initially agreed upon," Richard Eden was quoted as saying by a spokesman for the Prince's Foundation.
