In her book, Brian described how the nanny would 'torment' the royal kitchen staff over little Charles' food, causing Queen Elizabeth to eventually take the drastic step of sacking him.
"It is said that she took pleasure in torturing the Palace's kitchen with her exacting standards. Recipes for young Charles were constantly being rejected or repurposed based on little more than the nanny's personal whims," he wrote .
Brian shared a special 1956 incident that really inspired the monarch: "In 1956, the Queen sent a simple request to the nursery that Charles, then eight years old, be given a special pudding, which she Thought he might like it."
The story went on: "The nanny refuses, crosses the dessert off the menu, and suffers the wrath of the Crown. No one obeys the Queen's request."
