Prince William hurt by Harry's 'outrage' comments during US interview

Prince William doesn't appreciate Harry using late mother Diana's name

The royal editor says Prince William is shocked by Prince Harry's comments about him and mother Diana.

Daily Mail's Rebecca English commented on Prince Harry's recent US interview with Hoda Kotb, in which she shrugged off the question of missing older brother William.

Speaking to Palace Confidential of Melplus, Ms English said: "Instead of reconciliation, travel and interviews will only add to the sense of fatigue that many members of the Royal Family now have when it comes to Harry.

"Probably not for the Queen. He is very keen to keep the lines of communication open with her.

"She loves her grandchildren. Her ability to separate royal affairs and family is remarkable.

"But I don't think it's the same for other family members, especially the Prince of Wales, who is said to be at the end of his bond over this interview and Prince William."

Harry also revealed that he thinks Princess Diana is with him "almost everything I do right now".

He continued: "It's almost like she's done her job with my brother and now she's helping me a lot.

"She's got her set and now she's helping me set it — it's like that. She has kids, I have kids."

Ms English continued: "What is particularly hurtful to William is the comment Harry made about his later mother, Diana.

Harry commented on how he felt Diana did something for William by caring for him and their children.

"And now it's time to focus on that, which is pretty strange to say.

"I think it reflects Harry's general level of resentment towards his brother.

"From Williams' point of view, in the past, he has made it clear that he finds such an attempt to own his late mother quite useless.

"I suspect he will find those particular comments by Harry quite hurtful," she concluded.
