Queen has no plans to strip Andrew of Duke title: 'Matter settled'

The Queen will not deny further titles to favorite son Andrew

The Queen believes the Prince Andrew sexual assault scandal has been resolved after an out-of-court settlement.

The 96-year-old monarch will not succumb to pressure to give Parliament "multiple avenues" to strip him of the Duke of York title.

Royal sources have said the Queen "definitely" will not force her son to give up the Duke title.

Palace insiders say the monarch "settled matters" after Andrew paid £12 million to Virginia Giuffre, who was accused of sexual assault.

A title bar must be decided jointly by Parliament and the Queen.

Prior to this, the Queen had contributed £2 million from the personal treasury to pay for the disgraced son.
