TV icon Betty White's personal belongings up for auction

Late TV star Betty White's personal belongings will be auctioned off September 23-25 in Beverly Hills

Personal belongings of iconic television star Betty White are up for auction in September.

Personal items that once belonged to the iconic Golden Girls star, including her mother's gold watch, multiple awards, paintings, scripts, jewelry and red carpet dresses, were on display at Julian's Auctions in Beverly Hills on Tuesday.

“This is an auction that represents an incredible life and career. It is a lifestyle auction,” said Martin Nolan, executive director of Julian's Auctions.

"All of these items came from her home in Brentwood or her residence in Carmel, Northern California, where she lived with her husband, Alan Luden," she said.

White, who was an Emmy-winning star and had a notable subsequent career revival in films and TV commercials after her hit series Hot in Cleveland, died on December 31 at the age of 99.

As Reuters reports, the most personal item in the exhibit, according to Nolan, "is a 14-carat gold watch that was gifted to Betty on December 25, 1940, with the initials TCW which, of course, is Tess White, Betty's mother."

White was one of the first recipients of a star on the Walk of Fame in 1960. A smaller replica, which is given to the recipient when the star is awarded, is also up for auction.

The auction will take place on September 23-25 in Beverly Hills.
