Queen Elizabeth, Lillibet and Archie's upcoming meeting dubbed as 'special moment'

The Duke of Sussex Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's biographer Omid Scobie has claimed the royal couple are set to attend a cathedral service early next month as part of celebrations for Queen Elizabeth II's jubilee year.

Speaking to reporters in London on Friday, Scobie said: "We will definitely see Harry and Meghan at the Thanksgiving service at St. Paul's Cathedral."

Omid Scobie is the co-author of the friendly biography of Meghan and Harry.

He added that the June 3 service will be "the first truly official moment" when the couple attends the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

"That's exactly what they're planning for everyone," he added, calling the jubilee events "a glimpse" into the future of the royal family.

Speaking about Meghan and Harry's children, Scobie said the public could witness a "special moment" of the Queen meeting her great-grandchildren Lillibet and Archie.

Lilibet - who turns a year older on June 4 - never met her 96-year-old great-grandmother, who was called the surname when she was a girl.

Earlier, British newspapers had reported that Harry and Meghan are likely to attend the service, but Scobie's remarks would be seen as confirmation given their close ties.

He stepped down from royal duties and moved to California in early 2021. (web desk/AFP)
