An old clip during the Depp vs. Heard defamation trial caused Dakota Johnson to go viral on social media
Dakota Johnson breaks her silence after being dragged into a defamation lawsuit between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard.
Johnson went viral on social media during the Depp v. Heard defamation trial, because of a video from a 2015 press conference he attended the Venice Film Festival with the actor to promote his crime drama "Black Mass".
In the video, Johnson reacts to Depp's bandaged fingers and laughs after explaining his injury. Pirates became a focal point of the actor's finger injury during the Bombshell Trials.
Depp, 59, testified that his ex-wife broke the tip of a finger with a vodka bottle during an argument in 2015. As a result, social media users went crazy snapping the clip of Johnson's injury.
A clip of the actress's video titled "The Exact Moment Dakota Johnson Knows Amber Heard Was Violent towards Johnny Depp" has been viewed and counting nearly 3.2 million times.
"I was like, 'For the love of God, why? Why am I involved in this?'" Johnson told Vanity Fair, nodding. "I don't remember it at all, but please, get me out of it. Don't let it go any further. Can you imagine, oh my god, if I were called to the witness stand? I can't believe people are watching [testing] like it's a show. It's like it's a courtroom drama and my heart is broken. It's like that, so crazy. Man is very strange. The Internet is a wild, wild place."
Johnson did not comment further on the Depp-Heard trial, but he said: "The thing about being alive is finding out. It's not okay to hurt other people, to harm other people."
