Dr Melissa Drake, the obstetrician-gynecologist who oversaw the birth of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's daughter, Lilibet, reportedly abruptly stopped her practice.
Lilibet was born on June 4, 2021 at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California, where Dr. Melissa supervised her birth.
According to royal expert Richard Eden, Drake has surprised and disappointed many mothers by suddenly announcing the closure of his practice this month.
She also revealed the reason for the closure, saying that Dr Melissa says she is taking a leave of absence 'to focus on her health and be with her family', which has disappointed expectant mothers.
Lilibet turned a year older earlier this June and celebrated her first birthday with members of the royal family in Britain during Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee.
